Meet The Team Behind Our Delicious Cuban Food!

Transport yourself to the vibrant streets of Havana right here in North Georgia at The Hush Cuban Restaurant and experience the flavors of Cuban food while admiring the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains. Come out and discover a hidden gem in Rabun County where cuisine meets southern community; the restaurant is deeply grateful for the unwavering support of the Rabun Neighbors, who have played a vital role in its journey. Alicia Sosa, at the age of 20, made the bold decision to move to Florida, immersing herself in the dynamic restaurant industry. For seven years, she honed her skills as a waitress, mastering the art of customer service and gaining invaluable experience in the culinary world. Driven by a desire to excel, Alicia transitioned to the gaming industry, spending a decade providing top-notch customer service as a representative of the Seminole's Casino in Coconut Creek, Florida.

However, the call for new opportunities beckoned, and Alicia decided to seek a brighter future for herself and her three daughters. Teaming up with a like-minded partner, she ventured into the world of entrepreneurship, co-founding Hush BBQ. As their dreams were taking flight, the unforeseen challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic threatened to derail their aspirations. Undeterred, Alicia refused to let adversity define her journey. Determined, she pivoted and transformed Hush BBQ into a vibrant Cuban restaurant, carrying on the legacy of culinary excellence amidst uncertainty.

Additionally, Alicia is deeply grateful for the unwavering support of the Rabun County community, whose overwhelming support has played a vital role in the restaurant's journey. Continuing her quest for knowledge and mastery, Alicia is currently enrolled in culinary school, where she is honing her skills and exploring her passion for cooking. Today, she wears many hats – that of a devoted mother, a resilient business owner, and an aspiring chef. Navigating the daily joys and challenges of running a restaurant with her fantastic team, three daughters, and the supportive Rabun County community, Alicia continues to write her story, remaining steadfast in her dedication to creating unforgettable dining experiences and building a brighter future for herself, her family, her team, and the community she serves, one plate at a time.
